THE DOCUMENTARY THROUGH THE CREATOR EYES
Vettel First Year in Red is the first documentary ever made by Dani. The idea was to create a cinematic story based on a real Formula One season, watching the entire season from the perspective of one driver.
In 2015, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton dominated the championship from the beginning of the season. That’s why Dani decided to focus the documentary on Vettel, who was in his first year at Ferrari, the most iconic team in the sport, taking on the challenge of fighting against the powerful Mercedes team and its drivers. From Dani’s perspective, this was a much more interesting story to tell through a documentary.
Dani published the documentary on his YouTube channel at the end of the 2015 season, and it was incredibly successful in terms of views, comments, and recognition for the creator. Vettel First Year in Red became the stepping stone for Dani’s successful F1 documentary projects in the years that followed.

Each race added to the sense that Ferrari was rising again fighting for laying the foundations of a new era of hope in Maranello.
