THE DOCUMENTARY THROUGH THE CREATOR EYES
TH3 YOUNG3ST was the first Max Verstappen documentary created by Dani. The idea of making a documentary about the Dutch driver had never crossed Dani’s mind, but at that time, in March 2020, COVID-19 was causing problems worldwide. This meant Dani had much more time to work on his projects while isolated at home, and it was under these special circumstances that the documentary was born.
In terms of editing, the idea was similar to what the creator had done years earlier with Vettel First Year in Red, showing Max Verstappen’s perspective during his debut season in Formula One with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2015. This meant Dani created the documentary five years after the events took place.
On May 1, 2020, Dani released the video on YouTube, and the numbers were extremely good. The views, shares, and likes grew rapidly, making this documentary one of his most successful projects in terms of engagement despite its short duration of just 30 minutes. It has now reached 1 million views.
