DRIVER EDITS IN THE DOCUEDIT F1 2024
Carlos Sainz started the 2024 Formula 1 season performing extremely well in the first race of the season, the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix. Carlos executed incredible overtakes and moves that placed him in the podium positions. But the start of the season for Sainz was an absolute roller coaster. The week after his fantastic podium in Bahrain, during the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, he suffered appendicitis, missing the rest of the weekend, including the race.
15 days after the operation, Carlos Sainz was able to drive his Ferrari in the 2024 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. And not only that, he was able to win that race despite feeling pain and some discomfort due to the aftermath of his appendicitis. An extraordinary story that you will be able to watch in the Docuedit F1 2024 as you have never seen before.
While Carlos Sainz was recovering in hospital after his appendicitis during the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the reserve driver of Scuderia Ferrari, the English driver Oliver Bearman, replaced him for the rest of the weekend. With only one practice session before qualifying, Bearman performed very well on his debut, finishing 11th in qualifying. On race day, he confirmed his performance by gaining positions and battling through the field to finish in 7th place on his Formula 1 debut with Ferrari.
You will be able to watch that fantastic debut in Saudi Arabia in the Docuedit F1 2024, in an epic edit that highlights Bearman’s best on-track action that weekend, including special moments where Carlos Sainz Sr., Bearman’s father, and even Lewis Hamilton become part of the story.
DEVELOPER DIARY 01 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
In this episode Dani will show you exclusive footage about the two first stories of the Docuedit mentioned before. In addition he will explain some secrets behind the creation process of the Docuedit F1 2024 revealing interesting insights about color correction and montage behind the editing process of this project.
Lando Norris arrived in Miami ready to fight for the top positions in the 2024 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. He had a visible scar on his nose after suffering a small cut from broken glass while partying weeks before in the Netherlands. The Miami Grand Prix was a Sprint weekend. Lando started in the worst possible way, crashing at the start of the Sprint race on Saturday and retiring on lap 1.
Fortunately, the rest of the weekend went much better. Lando was fast in qualifying, setting the fifth fastest lap and starting on the third row for Sunday’s race. During the race, Norris matched Verstappen’s pace in the first stint and even extended it longer. Then luck came into play — a crash between Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant brought out the Safety Car.
This allowed McLaren to pit Norris under Safety Car conditions, bringing him out in the lead just ahead of Verstappen. After the restart, Norris set an incredible pace, becoming untouchable for the rest of the field. In that way, Lando Norris won his first Formula 1 race, six years after his debut, giving McLaren a long-awaited victory.
In the Docuedit F1 2024, you will be able to watch this story as you have never seen it before — an edit with epic music and powerful visual storytelling around one of the biggest moments of Norris’ career.

You will be able to see the new edit I was working on about the fantastic Lando Norris victory in the Miami Grand Prix and some insights about that edit.
Charles Leclerc arrives at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix — his home race, just kilometers from his family. He has waited a long time for this victory. In previous years, like 2021 and 2022, the win slipped away for different reasons.
From Free Practice 1, Leclerc is the fastest on track, setting incredible lap times with his Ferrari. On Saturday, he repeats it, taking Pole Position for Monaco. This isn’t new — he also took Pole here in 2021 and 2022.
Sunday, race day, is crucial. Starting from Pole on the hardest track to overtake, he just needs to complete 78 laps with the car intact. Everything is perfect this time, unlike 2021 when a qualifying crash destroyed his Ferrari, or 2022, when changing weather and a wrong pit call cost him the win.
All past frustrations weigh on him, but the start is clean. Strategy flawless. Pit stops perfect. No issues, no surprises.
Charles Leclerc wins the Monaco Grand Prix — an emotional victory erasing years of disappointment. A dream fulfilled at home, surrounded by his people, and dedicated to his late father, from the streets of Monaco to the sky.
The weekend’s emotion and intensity are brought to life in the Docuedit F1 2024, with unique visual storytelling highlighting one of the most special moments of his career.

Lewis Hamilton starts the 2024 Formula One season with renewed hope of fighting for wins — something he hadn’t achieved in the previous two seasons, marking the longest winless streak of his F1 career since 2007.
The season begins rough. Mercedes struggles to find balance and performance, making it hard to challenge Red Bull and the rising McLaren team. Hamilton also struggles to outperform teammate George Russell in qualifying and races, openly admitting his lack of pace and taking responsibility.
Things change from the Spanish Grand Prix, round 10. Mercedes brings upgrades that work brilliantly, closing the gap to the top teams. Lewis gains confidence, delivers strong performances, and returns to the podium consistently.
The defining moment comes at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, his home race. In wet conditions at the start, he overtakes Russell for the lead. As the track dries, Max Verstappen closes in on fresher tyres, but Hamilton manages his pace and tyres perfectly, holding on to win — his first victory in over two and a half years.
The perfect place to break the streak: at home, in front of his fans, securing a ninth victory at Silverstone and setting a new record.
This emotional and symbolic win is captured in the Docuedit F1 2024, highlighting Lewis not only as a driver but also as a person.
DEVELOPER DIARY 04 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
You will be able to watch a new edit I’ve made about the fantastic victory of Lewis Hamilton in his home Grand Prix at Silverstone after 2 years and half without victories. In addition I will reveal some details more about previous edits (Oliver Bearman edit) I’ve shown you in previous episodes of the Developer Diary.
Oscar Piastri’s second season in Formula 1 marks the continuation of his growth as a driver. In 2024, he improves his pace, racecraft, and ability to fight on track.
He scores solid results early in the season, but his first podium comes in round 8 at Monaco, finishing an excellent second. By then, teammate Lando Norris has already collected multiple podiums and a race win in Miami. The comparison doesn’t favor Piastri, but it doesn’t affect him.
Off track, Oscar is calm and composed; on track, he is aggressive and precise. Step by step, he closes the gap to Norris and delivers impressive overtakes.
The season’s turning point comes at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Norris takes Pole in qualifying, with Piastri alongside in second. At the start, Oscar makes an incredible move into Turn 1 and defends from Verstappen. Victory seems possible, but strategy intervenes — McLaren pits Norris first, temporarily giving him track position.
Team orders follow, and Norris lets Piastri pass in the final laps. Oscar Piastri wins his first Formula 1 race.
True to form, his reaction is calm, almost casual — part of what makes him special. This is not his only win of the season, but it’s the one that proves he has the talent to become a World Champion.
In Docuedit F1 2024, you can witness his progression throughout the season, with an edit that highlights his growth and shows Piastri as you’ve never seen him before.
DEVELOPER DIARY 05 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
You will be able to watch a new edit I’ve made about the highlights of the McLaren driver Oscar Piastri. Also I will reveal some secrets behind the editing process related to the car engine sounds and some surprises more!
Logan Sargeant started the 2024 Formula 1 season in a similar way to the previous year — struggling with the car and not achieving the results that Williams Team Principal James Vowles expected from the American driver. On the other hand, his teammate Alexander Albon was outperforming Logan in every qualifying session and race, just like in 2023.
The crucial moment for Logan Sargeant in 2024 came during Free Practice 3 of the Dutch Grand Prix, when he suffered a heavy crash into the barriers at the exit of the banked corner in wet conditions. The car was completely destroyed and not ready for qualifying. The next day, the Williams mechanics did an incredible job repairing the car, giving Logan the chance to complete what would be his final race in Formula 1.
That crash in Zandvoort was the peak of a series of crashes and poor results throughout the season. That’s why James Vowles decided to give the opportunity to the reserve driver, the Argentinian Franco Colapinto, to drive the car for the rest of the season.
The edit you will see in the Docuedit F1 2024 includes Sargeant’s crash, but it is not the main focus. Instead, it centers on the events of the 2024 Australian Grand Prix, when Williams swapped chassis between drivers after Albon’s crash in practice. You can learn more about that story in Episode 6 of the Developer Diary – Docuedit F1 2024.
DEVELOPER DIARY 06 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
You will be able to watch a new edit I’ve made about the american driver Logan Sargeant in Williams Racing. In addition I will explain more details about that edit like the song I’ve used for the edit or the presence of Alexander Albon and James Vowles at some point of the video.
Daniel Ricciardo began the 2024 Formula 1 season as usual — with a smile. It was his second season after returning to F1, driving for Visa Cash App RB following his 2023 comeback with AlphaTauri.
From the start, he pushed to perform, score points, and beat teammate Yuki Tsunoda. But the season didn’t go as planned. Mistakes like a spin in Saudi Arabia and a crash with Alex Albon in Japan affected his confidence, and he often struggled to extract the car’s full performance in qualifying.
Everything changed during the Miami Sprint weekend. Ricciardo qualified 4th and held the position in the Sprint, fending off faster cars like Sainz’s Ferrari and Piastri’s McLaren. Those 5 points were his first of the season and a sign that he could still deliver at his best.
After Miami, struggles returned. Ricciardo scored points only in Canada (8th), Austria (9th), and Belgium (10th). By Singapore, rumors suggested it could be his final race. After finishing 18th, he lingered in the car, savoring what might be his last moments on track.
The rumors proved true — Liam Lawson replaced him for the final races, marking the end of Ricciardo’s Formula 1 career. A driver with 8 wins, spectacular overtakes, and a memorable personality, celebrated both for his on-track talent and off-track charisma.
In Docuedit F1 2024, his final season is captured in a unique way, highlighting both the racer and the person behind the helmet.
DEVELOPER DIARY 07 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
In this video, I’ll take you behind the scenes of the edit I’m making about the Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo for the project I’m involved this F1 season: The Docuedit F1 2024. You will be able to watch the best moments of his 2024 season with the Visa Cash App RB F1 Team, being the first to see exclusive sneak peeks of the edit before it’s complete. In addition I will explain the concept multi edit that will be present in the Docuedit and some surprises more I’m preparing for the final video.
Fernando Alonso begins the 2024 Formula 1 season aiming to fight with the top drivers, just as he did in 2023, when he finished 4th in the Drivers’ Championship with 206 points and 8 podiums.
In the early races, the Aston Martin shows strong qualifying pace. Alonso consistently places the car in the top positions in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and China, extracting maximum performance on Saturdays.
But Sundays tell a different story. Alonso struggles to defend against McLarens, Ferraris, and Mercedes as the race pace of the Aston Martin falls behind. Weekend after weekend, his strong qualifying results are undone by the lack of race speed.
The turning point comes at Imola. After a crash in Free Practice 3, Alonso faces a difficult qualifying with an unstable car, finishing last. Upgrades fail to work as intended, making the car even harder to drive.
From that point, the season only becomes tougher. The car continues to lag, gaps to the top teams widen, and midfield competitors close in. In the second half of the year, Alonso struggles to reach Q3 or score points — something unthinkable just months earlier.
Yet Fernando never stops fighting. Like a true World Champion, he pushes beyond the car’s limits, delivering incredible overtakes and scoring points where it seems impossible. His spirit never fades.
Looking ahead, hope returns. Aston Martin secures a deal with legendary engineer Adrian Newey for 2025, fulfilling a long-time wish of Alonso’s. With this partnership, the possibility of seeing Fernando back at the front — exactly where he belongs — becomes real.
DEVELOPER DIARY 08 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
In this video, I will reveal an exclusive 2024 Fernando Alonso edit in Aston Martin. In that edit you will be able to see the best overtakes and his best moments on track during the season as you have never seen before. The edit shows the highs and downs of Alonso in 2024 but looking for the future and the partnership with Adrian Newey for 2025. In addition the edit will connected with a previous episode happened in 2024 that involves Alonso and George Russell.
In the final part of the 2024 Formula One season, several drivers face pivotal moments.
Liam Lawson replaces Daniel Ricciardo at Visa Cash App RB, while Franco Colapinto steps in at Williams for Logan Sargeant. Both young drivers have very limited races to prove they deserve a seat for 2025 — Colapinto from round 16, Lawson from round 19.
Colapinto quickly makes an impact. In Azerbaijan, he qualifies in the top 10 and scores points — something Sargeant hadn’t achieved all season. Lawson also impresses, notably in São Paulo, qualifying in the top 5 and finishing in the points. Both score again at the U.S. Grand Prix, finishing 10th and 9th.
Meanwhile, Sergio “Checo” Pérez faces one of his toughest seasons. Despite starting strong with 4 podiums in the first 5 races, his performance drops as Red Bull becomes harder to drive. From round 6, McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes close the gap. Pérez struggles, fails to score points consistently, and has difficult moments, including a last-lap clash with Carlos Sainz in Baku.
As Lawson and Colapinto shine on track — even battling Pérez directly — rumors swirl off track. Speculation grows that Pérez could lose his seat at Red Bull, with Lawson as the main candidate, and Colapinto mentioned occasionally.
By Abu Dhabi, neither Lawson nor Colapinto scores more points, though both leave a strong impression given their limited chances. Pérez finishes struggling, scoring only a single point in the final races.
Red Bull ultimately announces Lawson as Verstappen’s 2025 teammate, while Pérez is left out of the grid. Colapinto, with Williams’ seat already reserved for Sainz, moves to Alpine as reserve driver, with potential race opportunities.
Three drivers, three paths — all fighting for survival in Formula 1.
DEVELOPER DIARY 09 – DOCUEDIT F1 2024 SEASON
Discover exclusive footage about the new edit I’m making about the young talents Franco Colapinto and Liam Lawson in the context of the last races of the 2024 season with Williams Racing and Visa Cash APP RB. This edit is mixed with some of moments of Checo Pérez in the last races of 2024 in Red Bull Racing, when he coincides on track with Lawson (the driver who would replace Pérez for the 2025 season in Red Bull Racing) and Colapinto, having with the last one important incidents on track, specially in Mexico. This edit creates a very interesting comparison between rising stars vs established F1 veterans in the 2024 season as Sergio Pérez.
Max Verstappen starts the 2024 Formula One season as dominantly as the previous year, controlling weekends from qualifying to race day. He wins 5 of the first 7 races, looking on track for his fourth World Championship.
But from Miami onwards, the dynamic changes.
Lando Norris wins in Miami, and Red Bull’s gap to rivals begins to shrink. At Imola, Verstappen still wins, but only just, defending hard from Norris in the final laps. In Monaco, Red Bull struggles, and Max can only finish sixth, as Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes emerge as strong contenders.
Even in victories like Canada and Spain, Max must rely on perfect race execution rather than sheer dominance. Other drivers start taking Pole Positions, and the fight for wins becomes much harder. From Spain until São Paulo, Verstappen doesn’t win again, while McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes share the spoils.
Still, Max had built an early points advantage — and this is where his champion qualities shine.
In Austria, the first major on-track battle with Lando Norris occurs. In the Sprint and the race, Max defends aggressively. Their clash ends with both suffering tyre punctures; Verstappen recovers to fifth, Norris retires, and the championship gap widens.
Similar battles continue through Hungary, Netherlands, Italy, and the United States. Norris wins some races, but Verstappen consistently finishes close behind, maximizing every point and maintaining control of the championship.
The defining moment comes in São Paulo. After a red flag in qualifying and a grid penalty, Verstappen starts 17th on a fully wet track, with Norris on Pole. What follows is one of the greatest drives of his career.
Max climbs through the field, overtaking relentlessly, controlling the race, and eventually taking the lead. He wins from 17th, while Norris finishes sixth. That result nearly secures the title.
A few races later, Verstappen clinches his fourth World Championship — not by dominating every race, but through consistency, skill, and mental strength.
The 2024 season proves Max Verstappen is a champion not just when everything is perfect, but especially when it isn’t.
