The Silver War F1 2016 is also known for the way is edited. To create a good editing is necessary good music. In this post Dani Lozano (FLoz) explains how he found the music to edit The Silver War F1, revealing one of his favorite soundtracks of the video, including a mystery message that revealed the future of this documentary.
MUSIC OF THE INTRO: THE SILVER WAR F1 2016
I had clear on mind that for this documentary I wanted to step up what I did with Vettel First Year In Red. I wanted to find the right music for the right moment in the documentary. The first soundtrack that sounds in The Silver War F1 2016, during the intro, is Enchiridion by Context Sensitive.
I selected this music because when I listened for the first time, it was the perfect soundtrack to start a project like this. I was finding something between epic and dark at the same time you know? Something that introduces a battle between two rivals on track. Where the rivalry is present in every moment. The tension and pressure. This soundtrack it’s perfect for an intro of a documentary like this The Silver War. This is the music of the intro, that people remember because of the famous scene of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton walking together. I’m sure you watched this scene a lot of times.
YOUR FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK: THE SILVER WAR F1 2016
One of your favorites soundtracks of The Silver War F1 2016 is Ascent to the sky by Amine Sebti. *I know you really like this song because you asked me by private message and in the comments section of The Silver War video on Youtube about how to find this song. That was the soundtrack that I used to edit the 2016 Chinese Grand Prix in the Silver War F1 documentary.
MY FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK: THE SILVER WAR F1 2016
My favorite soundtrack of the whole documentary, and of the first I found, was this The ides of thunder by Jaye Arcuve. If you watched the documentary a couple of times you will recognize this song immediately you listening it. Personally, I have goosebumps every time I listening it!
The story of this soundtrack is interesting: When I was searching for music for the documentary. I was thinking that I would need a lot of soundtracks because there’s 21 races during the Formula 1 2016 season, the season is based The Silver War documentary. When I listened this soundtrack for the first time (at that moment I was in the first stages of the editing process)) I said: Wow, this is the perfect soundtrack to put it in the final part of the documentary. If the championship it’s decided in the final race of the season, I will use this soundtrack because is the perfect one to decide a title fight. I have a proof of that. In the comments section of the YouTube video where is hosted this soundtrack I wrote a message to the music composer:
The project I was commenting in my message was The Silver War, but in this moment only me knew that I was making The Silver War F1 2016. There are interesting responses to my comment, years later The Silver War was published and people knew the name of this soundtrack:
In the Silver War F1 2016 were 21 races to edit. I was looking for the right song for every race. YouTube and music is a tricky combination because the copyright is really strict. I didn’t want to have copyright problems because of the music, so I tried to find little artist on YouTube with no many views. I remember to be on my bed, looking for on my mobile, listening fifty-sixty-seventy different soundtracks every night from many different artist before to go to bed. Meanwhile I was listening, I was thinking: Maybe this music can fits for this moment, or: Now I need this kind of music for the next editing that I’m making. It was a hard process during the whole year, but, definitely it was worth it. The music is one of the keys because this documentary works so well.
